Today was Ava's last day at Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool. They sang a few songs (not a dry eye in the crowd during "Puff the Magic Dragon") and we had cake as we watched a video of photographs taken throughout the year. Jana Graham, my amazing Photographer friend, was able to pop into school and take amazing, tender photos of our children learning through play. It is a keepsake I will always treasure.
The above photo is very special to Ava as she is near her dear friend, Katie, and the object of her affection, Micheal (blue shirt). Ava is very vocal about her admiration for Michael. When asked why she likes him so much she says, "Michael is not like other boys. He is like Sparky (our cat). He is calm and quiet". Let's hope she uses this criteria when selecting a Prom Date.
The Two Amigos...together even at the end.
Ava's amazingly talented teachers who blessed our family with their patience, insight, and love over the last two years. Debbie and Jeanni...
and Jan.
Boy...this was a tough day for Mom. However, Ava took is all in stride. She is confident, content and ready for the next adventure.
